WHY MOST PEOPLE END UP NOT BEING ADMITTED INTO FEDPOLYADO

Most students lament the decision of Fedpolyado not offerring them admission despite surpassing the cut-off mark of their intended courses.

If I wont deceive you, scoring above the cut-off mark of a course does not guarantee you admission, it’s just a prerequisite.

We have been receiving messages from candidates lamenting bitterly, so we see the reason to highlights few major reason you could end up not being offered admission.

There are so many reasons for this, we will just list the three basic ones and explain them briefly.

LACK OF INFORMATION ABOUT FEDPOLYADO AND THEIR CRITERIA FOR ADMITTING STUDENTS

It is not new to all that Fedpolyado is a Federal Institution, therefore, the school follows laid down rules in admitting new students.

Candidates fail to acquit themselves with the fact that Fedpolyado does not accept people who do not choose them as first choice. If you choose the school as second choice you will not be considered. The reason is because JAMB had mandated that all institutions should only admit those who choose them as first choice.

It is somehow sad that a candidate with a high UTME score ended up not being offered admission. The reason can sometimes be traced to the fact that the candidate chose the wrong course for his/her subjects combination.

A perfect example of this is someone who intends to study an Engineering course and does not have physics in his/her O’level result. Most Engineering courses required at least a credit pass in Physics before you can be offered admission. Even if you are the first on the merit list of your department, Fedpolyado will not give you admission.

Fortunately, if you are offered admission you will be fish out and sent packing on clearance day and you will have no choice than to bear the pain and to start all over again.

You are advice to go through your jamb brochure well and make sure you meet all the necessary requirements before applying for any course. This is very important.

SCORING ABOVE CUT-OFF NOT A GUARANTEE

Some candidates pour out their grievances when the school fail to offer them admission despite beating the cut-off of their departments. Yes, you might have above the benchmark, but it is pertinent to understand hundreds of candidate had above your own score.

What does this mean? The school admits those with the highest scores first.
